Finishing Progress

Here are a few pictures showing the latest progress on the finishing. They show what the room doors look like in situ as well as the breezeway shutters. The others show the inside of the kitchen and the inside of a bathroom. Unfortunately pictures of these interiors suffer from poor light but it should provide a feel for the spaces concerned.

The two wing buildings are nearing completion, however quite a lot of work remains to be done on the bar building. The pool is the other major element to the project and work to complete this is proceeding at the moment. The tiling and marble dust should be completed before Christmas I am assured.

Besides that we have begun work on the grounds. Much of the clean up is really the builders responsibility but were we to wait for him we would could miss some of the best weather for planting and general garden husbandry. We have therefore taken a lot of this on ourselves and hope the grounds will be ready almost in line with completion of building.

December Update

Here are some shots of what the bathrooms, bedrooms and exteriors are looking like now that the finishing is well under way.

In the bathroom shot you can see the tiling with the boarder over which Sally has suffered so much. Tiling in the shower itself will continue above this level and the floor tiles which are green have yet to be laid.

We have two septic tanks, the one shown is closest to completion with the top probably being poured today. The purification system will then be installed.

The one shot from inside the bedroom shows the sliding windows already installed. Work on this in other rooms is ongoing. Eventually these will also have mosquito netting on the outside.

The shots of the outsides of the buildings show some sliding doors and windows already installed and hopefully gives some idea of what it will all look like when the sheeting is finally removed.
