Energy update

Well Semana Santa is over...and the majority of guests very, very happy. This will read ALL guests once the energy situation is resolved. Rumour has it that Kelsey Warren (new Reco owner) has already installed new generators and last week's cuts were only due to a faulty batch of diesel. Anyway we shall see. Today balcony fans (mostly broken by previous storms) have been removed and replaced with simpler lights. Storm coming in tonight which is expected to last four days.

Cartophiles ahoy

Claire has tracked down the oldest known map of Roatan. As far as we know only two exist and one is in the British Library. It was made in 1742. Half Moon Bay is marked. We are trying to decipher the description at the top, as the scan we have gets a bit blurred. Let me know if you would like me to send you the original image.

Energy

It's unclear if and when the situation may improve - there are all sorts of stories of him shipping in new generators immediately - but the general consensus here is that Warren has money to invest and the will to upgrade the generators on the island...
