New Year push

The second week of the New Year saw labourers back at work with Rodrigo and Sally cracking the whip. There were some good advances, including the installation of the step-up transformer (see photo below) on Wednesday and good progress by the electrician in fixing the ceiling fans and air conditioners -- by week´s end these were up and running in all rooms and most of the porches. The fans look quite good. The bathrooms are also all but finished, tiling complete (a lttile grouting still on a couple of floors) and storage space and closets also all in by the end of the week. Work is about to start in earnest on the garden but one photo shows the palm trees planted aroundd the pool deck -- we also have a handsome coral wall in front of the easternmost building and it is handsome. Good weather has helped and the next couple of weeks shoudl see completion. Happy New Year!
