Breezeway Roof

Well, here is the latest view of progress so far. The pictures really speak for themselves. As far as the schedule is concerned we are now behind Vicentes own very ambitious target of August. He is now making noises about October. Lets hope he is right. Sally, these pictures should help with regard to the double roof decision over the bar. Personally I think the contrast of the normal roof flanked by the two double roofs works quite well.

Roof & Decks

The roof is finally going on! At present we have enough timber for two of the three buildings so the plan is do the two accomodation blocks and leave the bar until the remainder of the wood arrives. This way work can begin on the interiors of eight of the ten rooms leaving only the two above the bar to catch up on later.

The weather here has been a little unsettled recently with some storms from the pacific hitting the west coast of Honduras, crossing the ismus and bringing rain and overcast conditions to the Bay Islands. This slowing down the seasoning of the wood and has accounted for some of the recent slower progress.
