From me anyway...now Sally and Rodrigo have to be trained up in the dark arts of the blog.

Formwork for concrete foundations...ready to go too.

We're hoping to see real substantial progress by the time Sally get here in the last week of April and Rodrigo in first week of May.

All set...

Well Semana Santa has hit and there are gangs of mariachis roaming the beachfront making merry...all of them of quite a high standard. The place is filling up, temporary bars popping up and hardly a room to be had.
The builders have stopped but will be back monday refreshed and raring to go. A concrete mixer stands by, sand, aggreagte, and steel reinforcements in place too...

Back breaking work!

Well the digger was exciting while it lasted. Unfortunately the ground is so hard two feet down that the claws of the digger were bent and it could get no further! After a quick change of water tank size and spec things are moving along again...this time with holes dug by hand.

Yes it's official and as predicted all very exciting. As you see from the pix (digging the very first hole), groundwork has commenced for tanks and foundation posts.

It's been a long wait but nothing can stop us now...except when people stop work for Semana Santa!

Ok folks - after another bureaucratic hold up foundations start this coming monday. I know you feel you may have heard this before, this time it's for real and there are going to be diggers and it's all going to very exciting! It is another excuse to raise a glass. Builders are keen as mustard to get going so have no fears on that front...
